China Adventure takes you to the Forbidden City and a narrow gauge quarry line near Beijing. Then to the Anshan Steel Works with more than 20 active SY Class 2-8-2s, street trolleys and main line action with diesels, electrics and steam. Tour the Tonghua Line where JS Class 2-8-2s were putting in their last days. You will visit a steam locomotive back shop where SY Class locos are rebuilt. You will, then, visit Inner Mongolia and JingPeng Pass, the last great stronghold in the world where regular steam rules. Double-headed Class QJ 2-10-2s climb 2% grades over huge bridges through numerous tunnels on this provincial railway that opened in 1995.
