Called Standard Gauge by Lionel, who trademarked the name. Other manufacturers used the same gauge and called it Wide Gauge. Not widely produced after 1940. Gauge No. 2 using track of gauge 2 in (50.8 mm) was one of the standard model gauges in 1909. ( From Wikipedia)

The standard inside lengths of the display cases are 24”, 30”, and 36” for Standard gauge trains. Pricing starts at $97 for a basic 24" model, and going to $143 depending upon the size and options you need.
The inside dimensions for this case are: Height 8", Width 6", Length 24", 30" or 36"
Above you can see a 24 inch, "Standard" gauge display case, with track and mirrored back, finished in Golden Oak.
We also offer the option of you having your display case engraved with the manufacturer's name and the model number of the piece, or maybe a tribute to the real piece of equipment. Maximum 2 lines up to 6" per line located in the lower left hand side of the display case, and is engraved from the inside. This can truly make your Custom Model Train Display Case a one of a kind.
